The Ivy League Educational & Charities Foundation (ILECF) is a non-profit 501©(3) organization established in 2002 in Houston, Texas with funds from Xi Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. The Ivy League Educational and Charities Foundation was created to provide financial support for education. The foundation is a resource in which individuals and organizations can turn to for educational support to obtain funds that promote educational programs and lifelong learning.

Pamela A. McGee, Chairman received her Bachelor Degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Lafayette, Louisiana. She received her Master in Business Administration from LeTourneau University. She is currently employed by BP Americas, Inc. as a Tax Analyst. Ms. McGee has over nineteen years of accounting and tax experience.
Dr. Kimberly Agnew Borders, Vice-Chairman is an Educator with a proven track record of student success. Dr. Borders attended the University of Texas at Austin’s College of Education. Afterwards, she attended the University of Houston School in Public Administration where she received a Masters Degree in Public Administration. Dr. Borders also attended the University of Houston’s college of Education where she received a Doctorate of Educational Leadership in 2001. Dr. Borders is a published author and Principal of Wesley Elementary in the Houston Independent School District.
Leslie Singleton, Secretary, has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting & Finance with a minor is Asian Studies from the University of Houston-Bauer College of Business and a Masters of Business Administration from Prairie View A&M University. In 2001, Ms. Simpson was able to study abroad in China through the Bauer College of Business and Asian Studies department. She is a founding member of Beta Gamma Sigma (PVAMU chapter) international honor society. Ms. Singleton is currently a School Business Manager for Reagan High School (Houston Independent School District).
Shakia Gee Moore, Treasurer attended North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She has also received a Masters Degree in Business Administration from University of Houston – C.T. Bauer School of Business. Mrs. Moore is a Financial Reporting Analyst with BP America, Inc.
Janice Abbott, member-at-large, received a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education, in Psychology, Sociology, and Counseling and Guidance from Texas Southern University. She obtained her Teacher Certifications in Elementary Education and in Secondary Education with a composite in science and Counseling and Guidance Certification. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern. Ms. Abbott is a Counselor at Hartman Middle School in the Houston Independent School District and Executive Director of Unique House, Inc. for mental illness.
Zandra Jackson, member-at-large, received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Dillard University in New Orleans. She holds two Microsoft Certifications and two System Application Program (SAP) Certifications. Zandra is currently a Senior Global SAP Upstream Financial Advisor at ExxonMobil. She has over 34 years of service at ExxonMobil.
Angelia Tucker, Esq., member-at-large, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Houston - College of Business, Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law, and a Master of Business Administration from Texas Woman’s University. She has been a member of the State Bar of Texas for over ten years. Ms. Tucker is currently an Assistant Director at Texas Children’s Hospital. She is also an adjunct professor at the University of Houston – Downtown and Texas Woman’s University, where she teaches Business Law and Ethics and The Legal Environment of Business.
Linda Knight Burkley, program advisor, holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from Howard University and Master of Arts Degree from Texas Woman’s University. She has obtained her Mid-Management Certification and all level music certification. Linda is the Magnet Coordinator at Dowling Middle School of Fine Arts, an adjunct professor of music at Texas Southern University, and a professional musician.
Thelma J. Johnson, program advisor is a secondary educator with thirty-one years of service with the Houston Independent School District. She has a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts Degrees in Journalism, English, and Speech Communication. She is currently the English Department Chair at John Marshall Middle School.
Brandi E. Jones, member-at-large, holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston. She is also a Texas Certified Educator and has been employed with Alief Independent School District for six years. She is currently a high school Special Education teacher.
